if your building a small town do the buildings have to be 50 blocks apart?

If it is your town then you can build within 50 blocks.

the only rule regarding distances is that you can only claim 50+blocks away from someone elses claim UNLESS this person gave you permission to claim closer to their claim.
if a claim is yours, you are free to do whatever you like inside that claim!
